BACOLOD CITY – The first building of the Asenso Yuhum Housing project, consisting of 64 units, will be turned over today, January 24, 2025, at 10 a.m. in Barangay Vista Alegre’s Yuhum Housing site.
Mayor Alfredo “Albee” Benitez, alongside Bacolod Housing Authority Head Victoria Parreñas, met with Department of Human Settlements and Urban Development (DHSUD) VI Regional Director Eva Marfil and Pag-IBIG representative Kenneth Macoy on Friday to finalize the turnover details.
The housing initiative, part of the Pambansang Pabahay Para sa Pilipino Housing (4PH) program under President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., reflects a collaborative effort between local and national governments to address Bacolod’s housing needs.
During the meeting, Pag-IBIG presented an amortization plan for the 24-square-meter units, priced at an affordable ₱2,194.84 per month under a graduated payment scheme with a maximum repayment term of 30 years.
The turnover marks a significant milestone in Bacolod’s 4PH housing initiative, paving the way for improved living conditions for city residents.
