This holiday season, the Rotaract Club of Metro Iloilo, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Metro Iloilo, brought joy to 100 senior citizen drivers and farmers in Igbaras, Iloilo, through their flagship initiative, Bag of Hope.
Now in its 11th year, the project distributed Noche Buena packages to honor and appreciate the dedication of seniors and farmers who tirelessly support their families.
“This project is our way of giving back and spreading hope to those who inspire us with their dedication and resilience,” a Rotaract Club representative said.
The organization thanked its sponsors for their generosity, which played a vital role in the initiative’s success. The Iloilo Provincial Capitol Press Corps also supported the project.
The Rotaract Club highlighted that the effort went beyond material aid, fostering a sense of community and uplifting the beneficiaries’ spirits during the festive season.
For the recipients, the gesture provided not only gifts but also encouragement.
“No act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted,” the organization noted.
The Bag of Hope project continues to showcase how simple acts of kindness can create meaningful and lasting impacts.
