2023 has been a good year for the sport of boxing.

After consecutive world title fights in the previous months, another action-packed showdown between two of the top boxers will meet at the center of the ring this coming November 25, 2023, to be held at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas.

It’s on. The hard-hitting David Benavidez will defend his interim World Boxing Council (WBC) super-middleweight championship belt against Demetrius Andrade in a featured battle of the undefeated superstars.

Multiple reports already confirmed the blockbuster super-middleweight fight, first announced by boxingscene.com and was specified in detail by the majority of the boxing websites.

Benavidez, who is coming off an impressive 12-round unanimous decision victory over former world champion Caleb Plant last March 2023, will be looking to take a step forward after accepting the Andrade challenge.

Reports confirmed that the winner will most likely arrange a fight with undisputed king Canelo Alvarez next year, the deal that Benavidez has been waiting for since defeating Plant seven months ago.

A known pressure-fighter who can ramp up his intensity starting in the middle rounds to the 12th, Benavidez is a beast, proof is his demolition of Plant despite going down in the scorecards in the first phase of the showdown.

On the other hand, Andrade, a tagged underrated boxer who can box from a distance and go inside, is aiming to continue his undefeated winning streak.

This will be an interesting style clash as Andrade can switch up from being a technical boxer to a pressure fighter who steps forward with more caution.

Meanwhile, Benavidez is a riskier fighter as he is open to getting hit while landing the huge counters using his length and weird angles in throwing overhand punches.

As of this writing, both fighters are yet to confirm if they already started their respective training camps for the bout on November 25.
