Bizman, teen nabbed in P475K drug sting

A businessman and his teenage cohort were arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation evening of August 23 in Mambusao, Capiz.

Police identified the suspects as Marvin Alejaga, 38, of Barangay Poblacion Tabuc, Mambusao, and Athaniel Delfin, 18, of Barangay Pinalamatican, Sigma town.

Members of Capiz Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (CPPO-PDEU) and Mambusao Municipal Police Station, together with members of Sigma and Sapian police stations, arrested the duo in a buy-bust operation at Barangay Bula, Mambusao around 11:15 p.m. of Wednesday.

The two suspects allegedly sold a sachet of suspected shabu for P6,500.

They yielded a coin purse, 14 more sachets of suspected shabu, an empty plastic sachet, and a Yamaha Mio motorcycle.

Captain Alladen Talaban, Mambusao police chief, said the seized drugs weighed around 70 grams and with a standard value of P476,000.

Talaban said the two suspects were arrested after a one-month surveillance operation.

They were monitored after some arrested drug personalities pointed to Alejaga as their supplier.

The two suspects are now detained and will be charged with violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002).
