After a roller coaster process of returning to the big league, Calvin “The Beast” Abueva’s suspension was finally lifted by the PBA and was given the go signal to play for the Phoenix Super LPG in the ongoing bubble.

PBA commissioner Willie Marcial, deputy commissioner Eric Castro, and technical officer Mauro Bengua laid down all the guidelines upon talking to Abueva, Phoenix team manager Paolo Bugia, and head coach Topex Robinson.

However, although Abueva is allowed to participate in the bubble, he still has to attend counseling programs as recommended by the PBA.

According to Marcial and the rest of the PBA board, Abueva may now return to the hardwood after completing all of his requirements tasked to him by the league and the Games and Amusement Board (GAB).

Hoping to see the change in Abueva manifest on the court, Marcial thinks that they have already done what is needed and hopes that their suspension will serve as a big lesson to Abueva.

The addition of The Beast will further boost Phoenix’s playoff run and will add more firepower to the already deep team led by sniper Matthew Wright.
