ROXAS CITY, Capiz— Various municipal police stations in Capiz launched TSIP Makakalikasan or Tagapagtanggol ng Sambayan, Itataguyod ang Proyektong Makakalikasan on Oct 18, 2021.
Earlier, all municipal police stations identified environmental problems in their jurisdiction which later resulted in the creation of their respective project proposals to address the problems.
On Wednesday, the Municipal Police Stations of Dao, Cuartero, Sigma, Maayon, Dumarao, Dumalag, Tapaz, and the 1st and 2nd Capiz Provincial Mobile Force Company (PMFC) launched an orientation of their respective stakeholders, pledge of commitment, and a tree planting activity.
TSIP Makakalikasan is a collaborative project between the PNP, Capiz Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office, Department of Environment and Natural Resources- Capiz, Local Government Units, Provincial Mobile Force Companies, Police Stations, Kaligtasan Advocacy Groups, and Capiz Eco-Youth Volunteers.
It aims to create unique best practices that will promote cross-agency coordination, support the implementation of provincial environmental programs to minimize the effects of environmental-related disasters.
It is also to enforce environmental laws such as illegal logging, illegal, unregulated, and unreported fishing, illegal dumping of solid waste, and illegal quarrying, and intensify reforestation efforts in support to the 1M Kahoy Project.
