Capiz to implement ‘no vax, no entry’ in all establishments

ROXAS CITY, Capiz – The province of Capiz will implement the “no vaccine, no entry” policy on all public and private commercial establishments starting today, Jan 10, 2022.

According to Judy Grace Pelaez, Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management head, the move was an offshoot of the meeting of the Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (PIATF) with the Local Government Units (LGU) in the province.

Pelaez said chief executives will implement the policy in response to the threat of the more infectious Omicron variant of COVID-19.

Pelaez encouraged unvaccinated individuals to get vaccinated against COVID-19 for their protection.

Earlier, Capiz Gov. Esteban Nonoy Contreras issued Executive No. 001 series of 2022 amending EO No. 28-B, prescribing the implementation of restrictions under alert level 2.

The salient points of the executive order are as follows:

A. Inbound Domestic Travel requirements:

-negative RT-PCR result from a specimen taken not later than 72 hours before departure

-Travel Coordination Permit issued by www.s-pass.ph

-voluntary 7-day home quarantine upon arrival, to be monitored by LGU

B. No entry to unvaccinated eligible person

-all public and private establishments shall require all persons to present a VaxCertPh or vaccination card before being allowed entry or to be served except for emergency cases

C. Prohibition on operation of cockpits and cockfighting, except e-sabong authorized by IATF or Office of the President

D. Liquor Ban – prohibition of drinking in public

E. Vaccination of Eligible Employees in public and private establishments

-all eligible employees in all public and private establishments should be vaccinated

-employees who are not vaccinated shall submit a negative RT PCR test result every 14 days, those who cannot will not be allowed to report for work

-all public establishments, including NGAs and LGUs, shall submit a list of all employees and their vaccination status within 30 days to the PDRRMO

-all private establishments shall submit a list of all employees and their vaccination status to the BPLO of their LGU

-records of required test results shall be kept for inspection

F. Outdoor areas allowed for all, regardless of age and vaccination status, but with strict compliance with facemasks, distancing, and handwashing.
