Will Johnriel Casimero get back in the ring sooner rather than later?

Moments after Nonito Donaire’s devastating second-round technical knockout loss against Naoya Inoue, the former Filipino world champion was quick to console the Flash on his social media account.

The legendary Donaire fought a different version of Inoue who was just faster, stronger, and more aggressive than the one he squared against off three years ago.

In the span of just two rounds, Donaire came down three times and received one of his worst beatdowns in his professional boxing career.

Inoue was able to utilize his counter-punching prowess as Donaire and his camp decided to change their strategy which made him the initiator of the fight.

The Filipino pug received several big left hands from Inoue who just wobbled badly in the second round before he was finished with a single sweeping left hook.

After the loss, Casimero made noise on social media and asked the World Boxing Organization (WBO) to give him Paul Butler once he gets back in the ring.

Casimero addressed a post to WBO president Francisco Valcarcel and begged him to arrange a fight against Butler.

However, the controversial Filipino boxing superstar had a chance with Butler but was stripped of his championship belt due to a weight-cutting violation he made before the weigh-in.

The British Boxing Board of Control (BBBoC) found out that Casimero used the sauna to shed weight, a prohibited method under their rules.

Since the incident, the WBO is yet to give Casimero a fight and is now in danger of ring rust since having his last pro bout last year when he defeated Guillermo Rigondeaux via split decision.

“Ok lang yan bro Nonito Donaire Jr. Congrats sayo Naoya Inoue. Ako na talaga ang alas,” posted Casimero.
