BACOLOD CITY — Cebu Landmasters, Inc. (CLI), a leading developer in the Visayas and Mindanao (VisMin) region, has expanded its footprint in the tourism industry with the opening of Citadines Bacolod City.
The 200-room hotel is the largest international hotel in Bacolod and marks CLI’s first hotel outside Cebu City.
As the tourism sector in VisMin continues to grow, CLI is poised to benefit from this uptrend with plans to launch six more hotels within the next two years.
“We are expecting our hospitality business to rise as we now have over 1,700 keys in our portfolio. Our hotels are already performing well as of the first quarter of 2024, with a revenue surge of 37% year-on-year. The launch of Citadines Bacolod City, in addition to our three operational hotels in Cebu, will definitely reinforce this growth,” said CLI Chairman and CEO Jose Soberano III.
The P2 billion Citadines Bacolod City, operated by The Ascott Limited, is a project of CCLI Premier Hotels, a joint venture between CLI and Capitaine Inc., led by President Alec Lustre.
The hotel features five amenity areas, five food and beverage outlets, a business lounge, and meeting rooms for conferences.
“We are excited for the opening of the largest international hotel in Bacolod City that features five amenity areas and five food and beverage outlets. Citadines Bacolod City also has a business lounge and meeting rooms for conferences,” highlighted Mathias Bergundthal, Director of Asset of CLI Hotels and Resorts, the CLI subsidiary managing the company’s hospitality portfolio.
Citadines Bacolod City includes a 1,000-square-meter convention center with a pillarless ballroom that can accommodate up to 650 guests.
The ballroom will start accepting MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) event bookings in July 2024.
Strategically located along Lacson Avenue, Citadines Bacolod City is just 30 minutes from the Bacolod-Silay airport and the North Bus Terminal, offering easy access to major tourist attractions and go-to places in Bacolod.
The hotel offers three types of rooms at opening rates: Studio Deluxe at P4,000 per night, Studio Premiere at P4,500 per night, and 1 Bedroom Deluxe at P5,800 per night. These rates include breakfast for two, Wi-Fi access, use of recreational facilities, daily housekeeping, and complimentary parking.
Guests who avail of the introductory rates will also enjoy a 20% discount on all food and beverage outlets.
CLI currently operates three hotels in Cebu City: Citadines Cebu City with 180 rooms, lyf Cebu City with 159 rooms, and The Pad Co-Living with 258 rooms.
The company plans to complete Citadines Paragon Davao with 263 rooms and Radisson Red with 144 rooms by the end of 2024. Additional projects under development include Sofitel Cebu City, Abaca Resort Mactan, Mercure Cebu Downtown, and Magspeak Mountain Resort & Villas.
“We now have four operational hotels and six more to be opened in the next two years. All of these 10 CLI hotels in key areas in VisMin are poised to drive future hospitality revenue growth for the company,” added Bergundthal.
