Cebu Pacific adds 11th aircraft to fleet for 2024 expansion

Cebu Pacific, the Philippines’ leading low-cost airline, has bolstered its fleet with the delivery of its 11th aircraft for 2024, an Airbus A320neo, as part of its ongoing expansion efforts.

The fuel-efficient 180-seater arrived at Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Sept. 13 and will support the airline’s upcoming route launches in October.

“We’re thrilled to welcome another aircraft to our growing fleet,” said Xander Lao, Cebu Pacific’s president and chief commercial officer.

“This delivery supports our commitment to making air travel more accessible and can help us serve upcoming route launches in October, including Davao to Puerto Princesa and Hong Kong.”

The Airbus A320neo is known for its environmentally friendly features, including 15% lower fuel consumption and reduced noise levels compared to older models.

This aligns with Cebu Pacific’s commitment to sustainability by reducing its carbon footprint, a key focus as the airline continues to expand both domestically and internationally.

Cebu Pacific operates one of the youngest fleets globally, currently consisting of nine Airbus A330s, 40 Airbus A320s, 22 Airbus A321s, and 15 ATR turboprop aircraft.

The carrier’s diverse fleet supports its extensive route network, which includes over 60 domestic and international destinations.

With the latest addition, Cebu Pacific is further strengthening its position in the market, offering more travel options while maintaining cost efficiency and sustainability.
