PBA veteran Chico Lanete will render his services with Chooks-to-Go after being named as the newest part of their coaching pool in their campaign of a 3×3 Olympics berth.

A three-time PBA champion and one of the most intelligent guards the PBA has seen, Chooks-to-Go said that Lanete’s court awareness will be a big help to the 3×3 squads.

In addition, Lanete’s career went to rise during his stint with the Coca-Cola Tigers and was noted as one of the most efficient scorers in the league during his peak.

“Having Chico around will be of great help to our players as 3×3 is a game of court awareness. Being an undrafted player but still playing 12 years in the PBA should serve as an inspiration to our players as well as Chico proved that hard work trumps all,” said Chooks-to-Go Pilipinas 3×3 league owner Ronald Mascariñas.

The PBA sharp-shooter will be working with coach Eric Altamirano with hopes to steer the three 3×3 squads that will represent the country in various 3×3 circuit tournaments.

Also, Lanete will be a part of the staff that will oversee and guide the training of the 3×3 roster that will compete in the 2021 3×3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament.

“I’ve been wanting to be a coach noong padulo na ng career ko. Nagpapasalamat ako sa Chooks-to-Go for this opportunity na mag-give back sa new generation ng players at sa bagong sport na 3×3,” said Lanete.
