BACOLOD CITY – The Alliance of Concerned Consumers in Electricity and Social Service (ACCESS) has assured its collaboration with Negros Power to achieve its five-year development plan.

ACCESS President Wennie Sancho emphasized that consumer empowerment and social progress can be achieved through solidarity.

In a press statement Sunday, Sancho said the holiday season in the Negros Island Region highlights the partnership between Negros Power and its consumers, forging an unbreakable bond to achieve the ambitious five-year rehabilitation and development plan.

“This collective vision embodies the bayanihan spirit, fueling progress and empowering communities,” Sancho said.

He added that Negros Power and ACCESS share a common goal of providing reliable and efficient electricity services to the region.

“In this holiday season, we celebrate more than just a tradition; we celebrate the spirit of partnership and collaboration,” he said.

Sancho highlighted the shared commitment between Negros Power and ACCESS, stating that Negros Power ensures uninterrupted power supply through infrastructure upgrades and proactive maintenance.

He acknowledged the tireless efforts of electricity workers in delivering reliable services to ensure families and communities enjoy uninterrupted moments of joy.

Consumers, in turn, play a vital role by conserving energy, reporting outages promptly, and engaging in open communication with the utility, Sancho said.

He stressed that fostering a culture of understanding and cooperation between Negros Power and its consumers would strengthen trust and lead to a brighter and united Negros.

“With this noble motive, we are not only lighting homes but also lighting hearts by treating Negros Power as a partner for brighter holidays. Together, we keep the spirit of Christmas alive, empowering dreams for a brighter tomorrow,” Sancho said.

Sancho also revealed that ACCESS, through its research arm, the Consumers Information Network (CIN), has noted improvements in Negros Power’s performance.

CIN’s evaluation highlighted advancements in outage frequency tracking, response times to consumer inquiries, and the resolution effectiveness of reported issues.

“As we celebrate the Christmas season, Negros Power and ACCESS celebrate progress through collaboration, empowering communities and consumers while maintaining their independence as a utility company and a consumer organization,” Sancho said.
