A 28-YEAR-OLD man suffered minor injuries after he was sideswiped by a motorcycle evening of July 1, 2019 in Janiuay, Iloilo.
Carlo Laru-an of Barangay Gines, Lambunao, was crossing the street to buy a bulb when he was hit by a motorcycle driven by Patrolman Rodito Lucibar.
The cop came from his duty at the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6 (RMFB-6) Headquarters at Barangay Jibolo, Janiuay and was on his way to Iloilo City when the incident happened.
Corporal Celso Catequista, Janiuay police investigator, said Lucibar was running on “moderate speed” along Crispin Salazar Street when the incident happened.
But Laru-an suddenly crossed the road and it was too late for Lucibar to evade.
Laru-an sustained injuries on the back of his head and complained pain on his left shoulder.
Catequista said Laru-an will not file charges after Lucibar agreed to settle his medical expenses.
