Coronica Named One of CSC’s Dangal ng Bayan Regional Winners

After leaving the Iloilo City Police Office (ICPO) a few days ago, another accolade has been bestowed upon former ICPO director Colonel Joeresty Coronica.

On Wednesday, July 24, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) Region 6 named Coronica as one of the regional winners of the 2024 Search for Outstanding Government Workers – Dangal ng Bayan Award.

Coronica, now the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) chief, was nominated while still heading the ICPO.

Before he was relieved from his post, he was also recognized as an “adopted son of Iloilo City” through an executive order issued by Mayor Jerry Treñas.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod also passed a resolution commending him for his outstanding performance.

  • Anita S. Gubalane, Education Program Supervisor, Department of Education Schools Division of Antique
  • Ma. Ellen Jane P. Sibag, Local Government Operations Officer II, Department of the Interior and Local Government RO VI
  • Generosa C. Condez, Public Schools District Supervisor, Department of Education Schools Division of Antique

The Dangal ng Bayan Award is conferred to individuals for performing extraordinary acts or public service and consistently demonstrating exemplary ethical behavior, based on the observance of the eight norms of conduct provided under RA 6713, the Code of Conduct and Ethical Standards for Public Officials and Employees.
