BACOLOD CITY – A couple was arrested with 420 grams of suspected crystal meth or shabu worth P2,856,000 at their rented house in Barangay Villamonte early Sunday.

Police arrested alias “Rolly,” 21, and his 25-year-old live-in partner, both residents of Barangay 1.

Police Captain Francis Depasucat, head of Police Station 4, said the couple was the subject of the operation.

However, the male suspect had been under monitoring for about four months.

Depasucat stated that the male suspect would move from one place to another to allegedly conduct his illegal drug transactions.

“Danlog kag bihasa na ni siya gasaylo-saylo,” he added.

Depasucat mentioned that they are checking the backgrounds of the two suspects for previous offenses and probing the source of the recovered illegal drugs.

The man is considered a high-value individual, while his partner, a student, is classified as a street-level individual, according to the police.

Depasucat said alias “Rolly” will be charged with the sale and illegal possession of dangerous drugs, while his partner will face charges for conspiracy.
