A family of three was arrested in a police anti-narcotics operation evening of September 1 in Molo, Iloilo City.

Gerardo Gevero, 53; his wife Lucimar Gevero, 51; and their son Luger, 34, all residents of Barangay San Juan, Molo, got busted for allegedly selling illegal drugs around 8:30 p.m. of Tuesday.

All suspects are considered high-value target (HVT) level 1 drug personalities.

The Regional Police Drug Enforcement Unit-6 (RPDEU-6) and the Iloilo City Police Station 4 originally targeted Luger but they also netted his parents.

Luger, a father of five, left part of his drug supply with his parents in San Juan, Molo and planned to collect the proceeds on a later date.

Recovered during the operation were three plastic sachets of suspected shabu, the P15,200 marked money, a coin purse, and a mobile phone.

Operatives valued the seized drugs at P60,000.

According to the police, all three suspects faced criminal charges before.

Luger got out of jail on Dec. 30, 2018 for a homicide case.

Gerardo was released from incarceration in July 2020 and his wife in February 2020 for a drug-related case.

The suspects are now detained and would be charged for violation of Republic Act 9165 (Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2020).
