COVID-19 death toll in Capiz now at 195

ROXAS CITY, Capiz — Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) deaths in the province of Capiz have ballooned to 195.

Based on data released by the Provincial Health Office (PHO) on June 20, 2021, Roxas City has the highest number of deaths with 87.

The 19 other deaths were in Cuartero (2), Dao (3), Dumalag (4), Dumarao (3), Ivisan (6), Jamindan (4), Maayon (6), Mambusao (8), Panay (9), Panitan (13), Pilar (7), Pontevedra (19), President Roxas (13), Sapian (2), Sigma (5), and Tapaz (3).

Meanwhile, the province logged 47 new COVID-19 cases on the same day, 31 of which were in Roxas City, 4 in Jamindan, 3 each in Mambusao and Ivisan, and one each in President Roxas, Dumalag, Sigma, Dumarao, Panitan and Pontevedra.

Also, 63 persons recovered while 3 more deaths were reported.

The province has 3,877 confirmed cases (643 active cases, 3,035 recoveries, and 195 deaths.

Roxas City has 1,924 confirmed cases (318 active cases, 1,521 recoveries, and 87 deaths).
