CPU athletes to represent Region VI in National PRISAA

The recently concluded Regional Western Visayas Private Schools Athletic Association (WVPRISAA) featured a dominating outing for the Iloilo PRISAA team.

Bagging a total of 286 golds, 191 silvers, and 64 bronze medals, the ILOPRISAA squad reigned supreme and was hailed as the overall champions against Negros, Aklan, and Capiz.

Out of the hundreds of athletes who represented Iloilo during the Regional WVPRISAA, a large number was comprised of athletes from the CPU Golden Lions.

Carrying on their dominating stint from the ILOPRISAA, 51 tertiary athletes and 68 secondary athletes brought home gold medals for Iloilo and will all fly for the national competition.

For the tertiary level, the Golden Lions’ volleyball women, tennis men, sepak takraw men, swimming women, table tennis men, taekwondo women, taekwondo men, karatedo women, karatedo men, chess women, and athletics women all clinched gold medals in the WVPRISAA.

During the secondary level, the chess girls, swimming girls, football boys, table tennis boys, table tennis girls, taekwondo boys, taekwondo girls, tennis boys, tennis girls, volleyball girls, and dancesports duo also brought gold for Iloilo and will join the tertiary athletes to represent Region VI in the National PRISAA.
