Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) Secretary Bro. John R. Castriciones will spearhead the distribution of Emancipation Patents and Certificates of Land Ownership Award (CLOA) to its Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries (ARBs) today, May 15, 2021 in Sara, Iloilo.
The activity will be conducted by a team from DAR Central Office, DAR Regional Office VI, and DAR Province of Iloilo in cooperation with the Local Government Units (LGUs) of Sara and Batad headed by Mayors Jon N. Aying and Mayor Elvira P. Alarcon, respectively.
A total of 717.4118 hectares will be distributed to 751 ARBs from various municipalities in the Province of Iloilo, 100.6930 hectares for 51 ARBs from Aklan, 159.2259 hectares to 122 ARBs from Antique, 69.0619 hectares to 59 ARBs from Capiz, and 370.5395 hectares to 339 ARBs from Guimaras.
The event formally declare them as landowners and consequently to help improve their quality of life.
Other activities during the event will include the turn-over of Common Service Facilities (CSFs) under the Climate Resilient Farm Productivity Support (CRFPS and Linking Smallholder Farmers to Markets and Microfinance (LinkSFarMM)Project of the Program Beneficiaries Development Division as well as the DAR-to-Door EP/CLOA Distribution in the Municipality of Batad, Iloilo.
