The boys in white and green will be a real threat this upcoming season.

After De La Salle University’s star-studded off-season acquisitions, the Green Archers’ continued their momentum by signing one of the most decorated hoopers in Cebu, Isaiah “Ice” Hontiveros.

Son of Dondon “The Cebuano Hotshot” Hontiveros, Isaiah is one of the most highly-touted high school recruits after leading University of Cebu (UC) to a CESAFI championship and earned his own name with his explosive and entertaining style of play.

His dominant outing in his tenure with CESAFI named him as a high-ranked National Basketball Training Center (NBTC) HS player within Visayas.

Tagged to be the “Derrick Pumaren” era after naming him as their new head coach, the La Salle legend immediately put on the work with his blockbuster off-season moves.

Before convincing Isaiah to be a part of the Green Archers family, University of the East Juniors’ main gunner CJ Austria, University of Perpetual Help Junior Altas top-scorer Emman Galman, 6’8’’ Fil-Am brothers Michael and Benjamin Philipps, project Warren Calara, and dominant center Amadou Ndiaye were the top-tier recruits he signed just in a span of 3 to 5 months.

The addition of Isaiah will give them an added option on the offensive end as a point guard who can attack the cup relentlessly and can also settle for jump shots.

Defensively, Isaiah also has the speed to switch handle any guard or forward matchups and can also anchor the interior as a help defender because of his strong body.
