The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Region 6, in collaboration with the Export Marketing Bureau (EMB), are gearing up to host an enlightening session entitled “Seizing Philippine Export Opportunities by Boosting Export Potentials”, dubbed as “Usapang Exports” on July 21, 2023 in Iloilo City.
The event will bring together a diverse group of attendees, including exporters, would-be exporters, DTI technical staff (regional and provincial), business support organizations, and media partners from Region 6.
“We understand the immense potential that lies in the export sector that is why we organized this activity to equip enterprises in Region 6 with invaluable knowledge on exporting, market information, and opportunities for Halal products,” said DTI Region 6 OIC-RD Ermelinda Pollentes.
During the session, attendees will have the opportunity to delve into various topics that are crucial for export success. These include the highlights of the Philippine Export Development Plan (PEDP) 2023-2028 and topics on doing business in free trade areas (Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership), Halal opportunities and initiatives, and overview of export procedures to be discussed by industry experts coming from DTI’s Export Marketing Bureau (EMB), Bureau of International Trade Relations (BITR), and the Department of Science and Technology.
As part of the Usapang Exports program, a cliniquing session for existing and aspiring exporters will be conducted simultaneously. The session will also serve as an avenue for aspiring and existing exporters to avail of onsite advisory services from key agencies that play a critical role in their exporting journey. Each participating agency will be provided a dedicated consultation desk during the session.
OIC-RD Pollentes hopes that the program will serve as a significant stepping stone for Region 6 enterprises, propelling them towards export excellence and contributing to the region’s economic growth and development.
The activity will be livestreamed online via the DTI Region 6 official Facebook page.
