Allen Durham isn’t called “The Bull” for nothing.
Entering Game 2 laser focused, the Meralco Bolts import wasted no time and immediately put in the work against TNT Katropa, torching them with an insane triple-double stat line, chalking up 44 points, 19 rebounds, and 11 assists in Meralco’s bounce-back win, 114-94.
The Bolts switched to high gear soon as the whistle was blown as they jumped ahead, 35-16, just in the first period.
Durham punished the TNT interior as he pounded his way inside all the time may it be drives or quick post-ups.
Meralco’s dominance continued in the next quarters as TNT just can’t find the defensive scheme to contain their offense, firing bomb after bomb against the TNT defense.
Also, their dominant outing in game 2 wasn’t only because of their staggering field goal percentage, but also because of their communication on the defensive end, switching fast and doubling TNT’s KJ McDaniels when necessary.
McDaniels had another monster performance despite the loss as he scored 51 points but the scoring outburst was not enough to ignite his squad for a comeback.
Aside from Durham, star point guard Baser Amer contributed 20 points, wingman Bong Quinto fired 12, and Chris Newsome added 11 points.
