Two minors injured in stabbing

BACOLOD City – Two male minors were injured in two separate stabbing incidents here in the past three days.

Last Tuesday, a 15-year-old minor, whose name was withheld, was allegedly stabbed by Anton Flores, 19, of Barangay Singcang-Airport here after they engaged in a commotion at Barangay 31 here.

Police Major Elmer Bonilla, head of Police Station 6, said the victim and the suspect met at the said village when their groups composed of teenagers got into a commotion.

Bonilla said Flores allegedly attacked the victim with a kitchen knife after the latter punched him.

“Daw balusay abi ang natabo sa duha ka grupo,” he added.

The minor sustained a lone stab wound and was rushed to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital here.

Flores was arrested in a follow-up operation and will be facing physical injuries in relation to Republic At 7610 or the “Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act.”

Last Monday, A 17-year-old boy, whose name was withheld, was injured after he was also allegedly stabbed by a 19-year-old boy at Barangay Taculing here.

Bonilla said the suspect attacked the victim with a screw driver when he saw his father confronting the latter, who allegedly mauled him over the weekend.

The suspect was arrested but was released yesterday after the lapse of the 36-hour reglementary detention. He will still be facing physical injury charges in relation to RA 7610.
