BACOLOD City – A total of P360,400 worth of suspected shabu was seized from four persons in separate buy-bust operations here last Monday.

Personnel of Police Station 4 arrested a certain “Jomar,” 29, of Barangay 27 here, after he allegedly yielded 50 grams of suspected shabu worth P340,000 in his rented house at Ciocon Road, Barangay 26.

Captain Peter John Ramos, head of Police Station 4, said Jomar was convicted for illegal drugs in 2018 and was released from jail in 2020 after serving his sentence.

However, police received information that he returned to the illegal drug trade, prompting them to monitor him.

Ramos believed that the suspect transferred from one house to another to look for a venue for his alleged illegal activity.

Police also recovered from Jomar the P500 marked money and other non-drug items.

Meanwhile, three other persons were also arrested at Purok BM, Barangay Taculing, following the confiscation of three grams of suspected shabu worth P20,400.

Police apprehended Michael Jeminea, 46, a driver, and Chris Maquiling, 42, a construction worker, both residents of Barangay Taculing, and Anthony Retes, 33, also a construction worker, a resident of Barangay Mansilingan here.

All three of them are street level individuals, according to the police.

Also recovered from them were the P500 marked money, an improvised tooter, three lighters, and P780.
