BACOLOD City – Police have two persons of interest in the P1.1-million robbery in the warehouse of a courier service provider in Barangay 7 here last Friday.

Police Captain Jonito Pastrana, head of Police Station 2, said that one of the persons of interest was believed to be a former employee.

But Pastrana refused to elaborate as they are validating the information.

Pastrana said the incident happened around 10 p.m. while the cashier was accounting their collection for the day inside their office.

Pastrana said the gate was open as there were delivery riders outside the warehouse waiting for the parcels, while others were probably remitting their collections.

There was also a security guard at that time, he added.

Pastrana said the suspects allegedly entered the compound and proceeded to the office, where they declared a hold-up, based on a copy of the closed circuit television (CCTV) camera.

The perpetrators allegedly threatened the cashier at gunpoint and carted away the sales collection that day. They fled on board a motorcycle.

“Kabalo gid ang suspects mag tultol kung diin ang opisina or kwarta na butang, even ang place kay suludlon pa na ang warehouse,” he added.

Pastrana said they are coordinating with the company to gather more information that could help them in the investigation.
