Filipino indie artist Eyedress releases his fourth studio album ‘Mulholland Drive’ via Lex Records. Across the project’s 15 tracks, the multi-faceted artist showcases his continually-evolving approach to off-kilter alternative and indie music while embracing positivity and the wondrousness of life itself informed by changes in his own life, like fatherhood.
Featured on the album is a wide range of friends and collaborators–including critically acclaimed producer King Krule, synth-funk icon DāM-FunK, Vex Ruffin, Dent May and more.
Coupled with the album’s release, Eyedress has shared a new video for “Body Dysmorphia”, directed by frequent collaborator Brvinfreeze. The visual features the PINK FLAMINGO USA stunt team and follows Eyedress and his partner Elvia around Atlanta during their stay in the city around his headline show there earlier this month, culminating in Elvia getting a tattoo of their son Boaty.
The new album’s announcement and previously released singles have been making waves across the globe. “Chad An Gordy” produced by and featuring King Krule, “Prada” featuring New York trio Triathalon, “Brain Dead”, “Something About You” featuring Dent May and “Spit On Your Grave” have received extensive support across Asia from notable platforms including Hypebeast, ABS-CBN (Philippines), Kompas (Indonesia),and Clockenflap (Hong Kong).
‘Mulholland Drive’ builds on the sustained excitement surrounding his 2020 album
‘Let’s Skip to the Wedding’, which has continued to reach new heights since its release. The album has broken into Billboard’s Heatseeker’s Albums Chart at #17 behind the viral success of hit singles–the RIAA Gold-certified “Jealous“, which has been featured in over 5 million videos on TikTok, and “Romantic Lover” which exploded on TikTok and streaming platforms recently, entering at #22 on Rolling Stone’s Trending 25 chart and peaking at #26 on Spotify’s Viral 50 chart in the US.
