With the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic and face-to-face graduations still prohibited by the Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) on Emerging Infectious Diseases, Far Eastern University (FEU) still pushed through with a virtual ceremony to give back to the hard work of their graduating class.
“As normally, we would be celebrating multiple graduations with your parents, family, and friends at the PICC or the Philippine International Convention Center. However, a once-in-a-century pandemic known as COVID-19 has intervened worldwide,” said FEU chairman Aurelio Montinola III.
During their virtual graduation ceremony, Arwind Santos, one of the best UAAP basketball players to suit up for the yellow and green, joined as guest speaker and talked about life, hardships, and transition from being a ‘probinsyano’ going to the concrete jungle of Manila.
While playing for FEU in the UAAP, Santos completed his degree in Sports and Recreational Management last 2011.
The FEU virtual graduation ceremony was streamed online through their official Facebook page with the hashtag #ONEFEUBATCH2020.
