Filipina-Japanese golf star Yuka Saso scored the necessary points down the stretch to clinch her second Japan Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA) title in just two weeks.

An up and coming star in the PH golf scene, Saso overcame early stumbles to close with a score of 71 to finally take home the Nitori Ladies Golf Tournament title held in Hokkaido.

Looking to gain an early edge because of her flawless hits, the Fil-Jap golfer found herself taking a step back after committing two bogeys and a birdie on the back nine before finally scoring a par on the three final holes.

After a shaky start, Saso’s camp started to worry after losing her one-stroke lead because of a double bogey on the par-4 second hole.

However, Saso was able to recover in the last stretch after pulling-off three bogeys in six holes on the back nine.

Saso’s recent victory added another feat under her belt after winning the NEC Karuizawa tournament in Nagano two weeks ago.
