Three Filipinos who are part of the Dota 2 team Geek Fam pulled-off splendid performances to help grab the first premier championship BTS Pro Series 2: Southeast Asia.
Raven, Karl, Kuku, all pure Filipinos, carried Geek Fam to a sweeping 3-0 victory in the finals against BOOM Esports together with Indonesians Xepher and Whitemon.
Raven and Kuku, who came from the famous TNC Predator squad that participated in The International – the most prestigious Dota 2 tournament, teamed up with Dota 1 legend Karl and reinforced by two rising Indonesian stars to form Geek Fam.
Raven put on a show in the finals as he displayed mastery from game 1 to game 3, with his tanky Spectre cruising through BOOM in game 1 with 11/1, his beyond godlike Morphling in game 2 who was an unkillable 15/0, and his well-farmed Troll Warlord styling against the opposition, 12/1.
The ever-reliable Kuku offlane was able to get hold against the strong-laners of boom while Karl was able to edge the mid lane in all the games.
It was a hard route going to the finals after Geek Fam finished the elimination round with 4 wins, 4 ties, and 1 loss.
However, once the playoff bracket started, Raven and his team elevated their play and played almost perfect Dota up to the finals, beating Fnatic in the first round, 2-0.
