Food vendor arrested for illegal drug trade

IVISAN, Capiz – A food vendor was arrested Wednesday evening, August 9, in a drug-buy bust operation conducted by police in Barangay Cudian here.

Peter Elmer Fuellas, 43, a native of Pasig City but temporarily residing in Poblacion Sur, Ivisan town was collared by Ivisan police after handing over a sachet of suspected shabu to a police poseur-buyer.

The police recovered two more sachets of suspected illegal drugs and P500 buy-bust money from his pocket.

Fuellas refused to comment on the alleged illegal items recovered by the police when asked by the members of the media.

But he told the police that selling food was his only means of livelihood as he is living alone at his rented house in Poblacion Sur.

He is presently in the custody of Ivisan Municipal Police Station while charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against him.
