ROXAS CITY, Capiz – Sangguniang Panlalawigan member Enrique “Ricky” Martin said there is zero chance that investors of various investment schemes here can recoup their money.
“Wala na sang may matabo nga payout sa mga double your money investment scheme,” Martin said.
Martin issued the statement after the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Security and Exchange Commission (SEC) cracked down on alleged investment scams here.
He added that investors should file cases against the officers of the investments firms that enticed them to part with their money in “get-rich-quick” schemes.
“I would like them (investors) to wake up and file appropriate charges against the CEOs (chief executive officers) of the investment scheme if they hope to get their money back,” he added.
Martin said he was happy that some investors already filed complaints which led to the arrest of several personalities like Junelyn Obamos Gregorio of the 25-day Double Your Money Scheme.
Martin said several investors trooped to his house and sought help in the hope of recouping their investments.
