Dr. Richard Gabayoyo and the Guimaras’ Players’ Center Sports Academy just held a successful thanksgiving party for all Guimarasnons.
With the theme “Pasalamat kag Pasundayag sa Paskwa sa Ti-on sang Pandemya,” Dr. Gabayoyo and the rest of his crew wanted to highlight and show Guimarasnons that the spirit of Christmas is still there despite the COVID-19 pandemic.
The various Guimarasnon artists sang songs of love, hope, and inspiration specifically Christmas songs in celebration of thanksgiving.
Vanessa June Estrevencion, Yesha Gatinao, Azucena Ballad, Silvester Gallo Borreros II, Diana Galvez, Nica Eslava, Chris Alden Estalogo, Zycha Zyche, Ma. Christina Abello, Randy Toledano, Roan Toledano-Guo, Anthony Jallores, and Danica Rose Espenitra headlined the online concert and dazzled the thousands of viewers of their concert streamed on the Facebook page of the Center Sports Academy.
The online concert’s musical director was Ms. Vanessa June Estrevencion, assistant musical director was Diana Grace Galvez, technical director was Anthony Jallores, and assistant technical director was Danica Rose Espenitra.
“My main goal is for thanksgiving, promote Guimaras artists as well as celebrate Christmas amid COVID-19 pandemic and the fact that we can still celebrate Christmas depite amo na ni gakalatabo sa aton,” said Dr. Gabayoyo in an exclusive interview with the Daily Guardian.
