PBA team NorthPort Batang Pier just awarded Ilonggo Paolo Taha with another contract extension after a promising performance during the bubble.

Averaging solid numbers with 8.91 points, 2.36 rebounds, and 1.09 assists per game, the versatile guard was able to provide the spark that coach Pido Jarencio needed from him off the bench.

Usually known as a pesky defender, the Ilonggo baller developed his offensive game and is already one of the deadliest slashers in the PBA.

Also, Taha’s much-improved shooting from the three-point area and the perimeter racked up his scoring average and added more dimension to his game.

Aside from Taha, NorthPort also gave extension deals to veteran big man Jervy Cruz and starting point guard Nico Elorde.

Cruz, one of the most dominant centers in the UAAP during his prime, became a worthy back-up to superstar Christian Standhardinger while Elorde is slowly earning the starting spot from the coaches.

Batang Pier is currently doing great in the off-season and signed emerging two-way player Sidney Onwubere from the Rain or Shine Elastopainters and kept veterans like LA Revilla and Jonathan Grey.
