HPG’s 3rd most wanted person nabbed

BACOLOD City – The third most wanted person of the Highway Patrol Group (HPG) in Negros Occidental was arrested at Barangay 1 Poblacion, E.B. Magalona town last Saturday.

HPG-Negros Occidental led by Police Captain Robelito Mariano served an arrest warrant for carnapping to Joel Torres, 24, of Barangay Aguisan, Himamaylan City.

The warrant was issued by Judge Cyclamen Jison Fernandez of Regional Trial Court Branch 63 in La Carlota City on August 28, 2019, police records indicated.

The court set a P180,000 bail for his provisional liberty.

The operation was conducted in coordination with the E.B. Magalona Municipal Police Station, Provincial Highway Patrol Team, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG)-6, and Regional Intelligence Unit (RIU)-6.

Torres is in the custody of CIDG at Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office (Nocppo) headquarters here.
