Getting promoted means getting the job done and recognition of one’s improvement.
In the world of Taekwondo, having your belt promoted means getting the expected improvement from your day-to-day training and the development of your skills.
The Iloilo Mark V. Pinggol (MVP) Gym recently held its promotion test and it was nothing but sweet success.
Taekwondo Promotion test is a regular activity of the Philippine Taekwondo Association conducted in every Regional Chapter by the Regional Promotion Board Committee wherein a taekwondo athlete is being assessed for belt upgrading after 3 to 4 months of intensive training in the gym.
During the promotion test, 20 white belts, 30 yellow-blue belts and almost 20 jins from red-brown belts took part in the event.
The highlight of the event was the promotion of 3 jins to black belters namely, Juliann Martha Uy, Red Dyron Lusaya, and Clyde Anthony Chua.
It was then emphasized by Mr. Mark V. Pinggol that the main mission of their gym is to provide a place where people can learn the art of taekwondo and enjoy the experience while committing to learn as well as improve their self-esteem, concentration, discipline, and self-control.
