Iloilo town wins Most Business-Friendly LGU award

THE municipality of Tubungan, Iloilo was adjudged by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) as the Most Business-Friendly Local Government Unit among the 4th to 6th class municipalities in the country.

Mayor Roquito G. Tacsagon and Tubungan Municipal Enterprise Office head Marlyn Tagudar received the citation during the 45th Philippine Business Conference and Expo held at the Fiesta Pavilion of the Manila Hotel on Oct 16, 2019.

Tagudar is also the town’s designated Business Permit and Licensing Officer and Local Economic and Investment Promotion Officer.

Besting other three LGU finalists, Tubungan was cited for consistently supporting the promotion and development of micro, small and medium scale enterprises significantly benefiting the town’s business community and citizenry.

Tacsagon thanked the PCCI for the award, a manifestation that they are on the right track for their business-friendliness and innovation.

He also lauded the LGU employees and Tubungan Stallholders and Vendors Association for their continued efforts and support that enabled Tubungan to get the Most Business-Friendly Municipality award this year.

In 2018, the local government of Tubungan also received a special citation from PCCI as Most Business Friendly LGU for its commendable efforts in investment promotion initiatives.  (JBG/laf/PIA-Iloilo)
