A McCafè. A tandem drive thru. A large dining capacity. A green wall. And a bike and dine soon, among others.
These are just some of the many exciting things to look forward for the reopening of the “most modern McDonald’s store” in the entire Iloilo located at the Iloilo Business Park in Mandurriao, Iloilo City.
Located beside the Festive Walk Iloilo along the Megaworld Boulevard, the redesigned McDonald’s NXTGEN store will open its doors anew on Monday, Jan. 15, after it was closed on Nov. 1, 2023 to pave way for renovation.
And as promised, Eugene Reducindo, managing director of Choice Gourmet Banquet, Inc. (CGBI), the company that operates McDonald’s Iloilo Business Park, said that the store will showcase a variety of exciting ‘first-in-lloilo province’ features.
These include the first-ever McCafe, first Tandem Drive-Thru, and soon the first-ever Bike and Dine facility in the whole Iloilo.
“We are so excited to share a fresh and exciting dining experience with the longgos in what is now known as the ‘most modern McDonald’s store’ in the entire province,“ he said.
When it first opened in 2014, Reducindo narrated, that it used to be the biggest McDonald’s store in the entire province and city of Iloilo.
“A decade after, we still celebrate lots of exciting firsts here in McDonald’s Iloilo Business Park, including being the biggest in terms of seating capacity among all McDonald’s stores in lloilo City,” Reducindo side.
The overall design for McDonald’s Iloilo Business Park follows the Ray Palette concept, the fast-food giant’s signature global design scheme standard that emphasizes space and lighting.
A green wall has been installed outside the store to further highlight the brand’s thrust towards sustainability.
Soon, the store will also feature Iloilo’s first-ever Bike and Dine facility in the province, as well as its own bike repair station – two features that Ilonggos will definitely love, especially since Iloilo City is known as the “Bike Capital of the Philippines.”
Other sustainability features that the store will have soon include a dedicated e-vehicle charging station and several solar lampposts.
To allow more people to enjoy their favorite McDonald’s must-haves, customers on the go can place their orders via the Tandem Drive-Thru (two-at-a-time ordering) that features Customer Order Displays.
Inside, the store can seat around 250 diners at any given time. A prominent feature that can be seen as you enter the store is the iconic signature yellow staircase, similar to the one seen at McDonald’s Times Square in New York City.
As with all McDonald’s NXTGen stores, dine-in guests can place their orders via the Self-Ordering Kiosks (SOKs, where they can also pay for their meals via digital payment channels before waiting to claim their orders at the counter.
Wireless charging ports are installed at communal tables to allow diners to charge their smartphones.
McDonald’s Iloilo Business Park also features a total of three function rooms-the first in the entire lloilo province to do so—one on the ground floor and two on the second floor, which can accommodate about 200 guests. There’s also a dedicated area for the Playplace on the second floor where kids can enjoy during their stay.
