Jovelyn “The Bionic Ilongga” Gonzaga recently bared her future plans after declining the invitation to be a part of the tryout class of the 2021 national women’s volleyball team.

After PNVF beach volleyball head Charo Soriano expressed how delighted she was in welcoming the explosive spiker possibly playing under the category, Gonzaga explained that she is still focusing on her schooling in the Army.

“As in wala pa final na pag-uusap sa lahat. Nagfo-focus, muna ako sa schooling para may mapatunayan naman ako sa Army and ano pa pwede ko kaya maambag sa organization. Kaya nilaan ko muna time ko mag focus,” said Gonzaga.

In a recent post of Soriano, she said: “A legend takes on the beach. Honoring your indoor volleyball journey and at the same time excited for your beach volley path. We’re here for you, Jov.”

As of now, the Ilongga spiker is still not certain with her final decision regarding her national team designation but vowed to be present in the professional scene as a player under the Premier Volleyball League (PVL).

Gonzaga recently confirmed that she will still be suiting up for the newly-turned professional volleyball league in the country.

“Sa indoor national team lang. Giving up my slot na. Pero tuloy pa din ako sa mga pro leagues sa indoor,” added Gonzaga.
