The Iloilo Police Provincial Police Office (IPPO) launched a skill training on candle making in Cabatuan town on June 25, 2020.

The activity is in line with the “Babaye Bangon”, an initiative of IPPO on women empowerment and protection.

The launching of the training was marked with the singning of the memorandum of agreement (MOA) between the IPPO and the Local Government of Unit of Cabatuan.

The beneficiaries of the candle making training are 20 housewives.

Shyla Cabaluna of All In One (AIO) Trade Marketing serves as the the trainer.

Cabatuan Mayor Ronilo Caspe expressed his gratitude for having the project for his constituents.

“We are very happy and thankful that the PNP has chosen our municipality for this project, which is aligned with our development plan,” he said said.

The Police Regional Office 6 supports this project as it is timely for mitigating the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic by providing means of livelihood for women.

IPPO sustains the Babaye Bangon Project because of the conviction that women empowerment and protection contributes for the improvement of the peace and order situation of Iloilo province.
