Ivisan town unveils P6.1-M fire station

ROXAS CITY, Capiz— The town of Ivisan, Capiz has a new fire station which was inaugurated Tuesday morning.

The blessing of the new edifice worth PHP6.1-million was attended by Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) Regional Director Fire Senior Supt. Jerry Candido and Acting Provincial Fire Marshal Chief Insp. Christopher Regencia.

It was then followed by the blessing of the Hyundai Fire Truck, Mitsubishi L300 Ambulance, and Mitsubishi L300 Rescue Vehicle which was presided over by Rev. Fr. Roque Teofilo O. Ortencio.

The event happened at Sitio Bulabod, Pob. Sur, Ivisan, Capiz.

Also present during the occasion were Capiz Governor Esteban Evan Contreras, Ivisan Mayor Felipe Neri Yap, and officials of the BFP.

SFO3 Rayman Vela, Officer-In-Charge of BFP-Ivisan Fire Station, said it has been more than two decades that the town’s Civic Center has been utilized as the town’s fire station.

Vela thanked the administration of Mayor Yap for providing the lot for new fire station.

With the new building, the BFP could easily respond to fire incidents, he added.
