James delos Santos continues his winning streak after ousting current World no.1 in virtual kata, Eduardo Garcia of Portugal, to add another gold medal in his prized collection.
After jumping to the World no.2 spot as a result of a major medal haul during the past months, delos Santos bared that clinching a victory over Garcia will always be an honor and is considered an achievement for him.
Delos Santos shone more during his SportsData eTournament World Series duel with the world no.1 after besting all participants with a score of 24.8 against Garcia’s 24.5.
“I’m really happy with the result, especially winning in the SportsData E-Tournament World Series, the tournament that mattered the most. But it doesn’t stop there. I still have to work hard to reach the No. 1 spot,” said delos Santos.
Aside from dominating the recently concluded World Series tourney, delos Santos also copped the gold medal in the Hatamoto Kai Mitad Del Mundo E-Tournament.
His second collected gold medal was his 9th international overall and is expected to have a significant point boost with the two golds he garnered.
“I’m just really happy. I am confident on our coach-athlete partnership. I appreciate the opportunity he gave me to be his coach,” said delos Santos’ mentor, Japanese Masa Saito.
