After months of delay brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, the NBA G League is finally good to go and will be staged in a Walt Disney World resort bubble.

G League President Shareef Abdur-Rahim confirmed the development and the organization is already finalizing the needed plans for the highly-anticipated kickoff.

The grand league will feature 18 teams and one of them, team Ignite, composed of five-star high school recruits headlined by Filipino teen sensation Kai Sotto and Fil-Am Jaylen Green, is one of the most exciting teams to watch as predicted by most of the scouts.

Completing the star-studded Ignite squad are high-school top-tier recruits Jonathan Kuminga, Daishen Nix, Isaiah Todd, and Princepal Singh. The young team will be orchestrated and will be guided by NBA veteran and champion Brian Shaw who is already excited to share the hardwood with his boys.

Also, the late inclusion of former NBA players like Lance Stephenson, Michael Beasley, Jeremy Lin, Nik Stauskas, and Amir Johnson will make the league more competitive and worth the watch.

“We worked closely with our teams, the Basketball Players Union, and public health experts to develop a structure that allows our teams to gather at a single site and safely play. We are thrilled to get back to basketball and to fulfill our mission as a critical resource for the NBA in developing players, coaches, referees, athletic trainers and front-office staff,” said President Abdur-Rahim.

However, no specific date was released regarding the season’s start but the initial schedule of the league will be in February.
