BACOLOD City – Some netizens took to social media their brief experience on the 3.2 magnitude earthquake that struck the city early Thursday morning.

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), in an advisory, said the quake took place 6 kilometers northwest of the city at 2:12 a.m.

The agency said the quake is tectonic in origin and has a depth of focus of 10 kilometers.

The tremor was felt while most of the population was already asleep.

One netizen posted that she was nervous when she felt the tremor. She thought at first that someone just shook the pillar of their boarding house.

Another netizen said that she thought someone climbed up her bed, while the other said that she went outside their house to check the moon, but while staring at the sky, she suddenly felt dizzy as if she’s drunk.

Others did not feel the tremor and just learned about it later that day.

No damage or aftershock is expected following the earthquake, the Phivolcs said.
