ROXAS CITY, Capiz— A 29-year-old man who was accused of sexually molesting a woman committed suicide Sunday morning inside his house in Pontevedra, Capiz.
Staff Sergeant Rhea Batuigas, Pontevedra Municipal Police Station investigator, said Dodoy (not his real name) was observed to be depressed after he was accused of rape.
Batuigas claimed that Dodoy told his wife that it was better to die than to be jailed.
Before the incident, Dodoy’s wife went out to ask for leave from her employer.
She later found her lifeless husband hanging from their ceiling when she returned.
