Man collared for raping 7-year-old girl

A 37-year-old man was arrested late afternoon of March 23, 2021 over accusations that he repeatedly molested a 7-year-old girl in San Dionisio, Iloilo.

Ruby Jun Molino was collared at his home in Barangay Cudionan, San Dionisio around 5:15 of Tuesday.

Members of San Dionisio Municipal Police Station arrested the suspect by the strength of a warrant of arrest for statutory rape issued by Judge Jose Mauricio of the Regional Trial Court (RTC-6) Branch 66 of Barotac Viejo, Iloilo, on June 3, 2020.

Accompanied by her grandmother, the victim told police authorities how the suspect made sexual advances on her.

The grandmother learned about the incident after noticing that the child was not her usual self when playing.

The grandmother claimed that the girl complained of pain on her genitals.

When she was quizzed what really happened, the girl admitted that the suspect repeatedly molested her at their house and in a nipa hut sometime in 2017.

The suspect is now behind bars. The court has recommended no bail for his temporary liberty.

Another rape suspect was also arrested in Estancia town on the same day.

Members of Estancia Police Station arrested Renante Arojo, 40, a construction worker, at his house at Barangay Villa Pani-an, Estancia, Iloilo.

Arojo was also nabbed for allegedly raping a minor. His arrest warrant for Criminal Case No. 2021-9753 was also issued by Judge Gomez.

No bail was also set for his temporary liberty.

Meanwhile, members of Oton Police Strauon also arrested another man for rape evening of March 24.

Jonas Esprago, 24, was collared at Barangay Poblacion East, Oton.

He was accused of qualified rape under Criminal Case No. 2021-9816 issued by Judge Oscar Leo Sancho Billena of RTC Branch 70, Barotac Viejo, Iloilo on Feb. 22, 2021.

No bailbond was set for his temporary liberty.
