BACOLOD City – A love triangle led to the death of a man who was shot by his girlfriend’s former boyfriend at Purok Katilingban, Barangay Banago, Bacolod City Thursday morning.

Slain was Stephen Grajo, 25, of the said village.

Police Lieutenant Colonel Levy Pangue, head of Police Station 3, said Grajo was walking alone when the suspect identified as 35-year-old Arvin Sayson confronted him and allegedly shot him using a homemade 12-gauge shotgun.

Grajo suffered a gunshot wound on his back and was taken to Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH), where he was declared dead.

Police recovered from the scene the firearm used by the suspect in the crime, and an empty shell of the same firearm caliber.

Pangue said the suspect probably had a grudge against the victim for being in a relationship with his former girlfriend. “Agaway sila sa babaye,” he added.

Pangue said the incident was not drug-related and more on personal motive.
