BACOLOD City – Police are looking into a man’s live-in partner as a person of interest in the former’s death here yesterday.
Police Captain Paul Vincent Pendon, head of Police Station 2, said the lifeless body of Dennis Aranas of Barangay 6 here, was found at Purok Lampirong, Barangay 2 here around 7 a.m.
Pendon said Aranas, who was identified by his niece, had a lone stab wound in the back.
Pendon said they received information that the victim came from Pulupandan, Negros Occidental and had been staying here for a week now, following a misunderstanding with his live-in partner.
“Wala daw sila nag intsindihanay ka partner niya, nag away sila, kag gin pahalin siya sa ila balay, daw nagpalaboy di siya,” he added.
But Pendon refused to name Aranas’s live-in partner pending the investigation.
Pendon said the victim was last seen alive Monday night.
Aranas may have been killed somewhere as there were no blood stains found on the crime scene.
“Gin bilin lang siya siguro sa lugar,” he added.
Pendon said they will have to trace back Aranas’s activities prior to the incident to check other possible angles.
“Basi bala may naka away man siya iban kag may nag timalos lang,” he added.
Pendon urged witnesses to surface to help them identify the real perpetrator/s.
Meanwhile, Pendon said that police have already intensified its visibility patrol in the area since a week ago, following series of murder cases in the area.
In fact, the Bacolod City Mobile Force Company has some personnel deployed to ensure the non-occurrence of similar incidents, the station commander said.
