BACOLOD City – Mayor Evelio Leonardia Friday announced the creation of the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) exit planning team headed by Councilor Archie Baribar.

Leonardia said the team is tasked to evaluate, study, and make recommendation what will be done when the ECQ ends on April 30, 2020.

The ECQ was implemented since March 30, 2020 to contain the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

He said major factors that will be considered are, health, business, budget, legal among others.

The most important is the health consideration, Leonardia said, adding that “we have to protect the city and its people.”

Leonardia said the recommendation of the exit planning will be presented to the city’s Inter Agency Task Force against COVID-19 headed by Vice Mayor El Cid Familiaran together with Bacolod City Rep. Greg Gasataya.

“We do not want to go back to square one,” Leonardia said.
