BACOLOD City – A 17-year-old boy tagged as the 10th most wanted person in Sagay City, Negros Occidental, was arrested in Barangay Puey last Monday.
Police served an arrest warrant for attempted rape charges against the minor-suspect, whose name was withheld.
The arrest warrant was issued by Executive Judge Reginald Fuentebella of Regional Trial Court Branch 73 in Sagay City on January 19, 2024.
The court recommended a bail of P10,000 for his provisional liberty.
He is now under the custody of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) for proper disposition and has been subsequently brought to court, where the case is still pending.
Police Brigadier General Sidney Villaflor, director of Police Regional Office (PRO)-6, commended the dedicated efforts of law enforcement in swiftly apprehending individuals involved in sex crimes.
