MORE Power Launches Partners in Power Foundation

“By ourselves, we can do so much. But together, we are MORE”

These were the words of MORE Electric and Power Corporation President and COO Roel Castro in launching the Partners in Power Foundation, a program dedicated to creating multiple initiatives to help Iloilo City in times of crisis.

The foundation began as an idea conceptualized by Prometheus Productions, MORE Power’s outsourced corporate communications firm, to consolidate its CSR projects. The intention of the project is not only to help but to allow the public to reach out to the foundation and help their fellow Ilonggos. A venue where people could “strive for shared responsibility and a collective contribution to everyone’s prosperity.”

Officially established on the 83rd Charter Day anniversary of Iloilo City, the program has helped many affected areas and vulnerable sectors. Its projects span from providing aid to the districts devastated by Typhoon Ursula to initiating COVID relief efforts for the front liners and other communities.

With a particular focus on environmental conservation, it was able to pull off a city-wide tree planting operation along with providing relief efforts to the area affected by the oil spill last June.
